Welcome to Elektra Bio, your cinema in Västerås.

Our films are screened in their original language with Swedish subtitles. Some films will have English subtitles; such films will be tagged with "English subtitles".

You will find our cinema located inside the building Culturen on Sintervägen 6. You can enter the building through the main entrance "Huvudentrén" or our entrance "Lilla Entrén".

You can easily get to the cinema by bus. Buses 6 & 21 stop right outside at the bus stop "Kopparlunden."

We have a café and you're more than welcome to buy your snacks there and sit down and enjoy a Swedish "fika" before or after the movie - or when youre just passing by! One of MDU:s examn halls is located just on the other side of the building!

Monday–Friday: 10:00–19:30
Saturday–Sunday: 12:00–19:30

Cinema opening hours depend on our screenings. Generally, our first screening starts at 13:00 and our last screening starts at 20:00 all days of the week. The cinema is open 30 minutes before the first screening and closes at the start of our last screening. See our calendar for information about our programme.
